Daycare Requirements

The purpose of our daycare program is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs.  To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following:

AGE:   All dogs must be at least 5 months of age or older.

SEX:    All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

VACCINES:    All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations (done withing 1 year of attendance).  These include DHPP (combo Shot), Bordetella (kennel cough) and Rabies.  Proof can be emailed or dropped off.

FLEA/TICK:    All dogs must be kept on a regular flea/tick control program.

HEALTH:    All dogs must be in good health.  Owners will certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition. Your Veterinarian can advise based on the condition.

BEHAVIOR:    All dogs must be non-aggressive and not be food or toy protective. Owners will certify that their dogs have not harmed, or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dogs.

ATTENDANCE:  Dogs approved for daycare, but who have not attended for an extended period of time, may require an evaluation before being readmitted.

APPLICATION:  All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file.

DAYS & HOURS:    Daycare is currently offered Monday-Friday during our regular business hours.  Staff goes off-duty at 6p, any dogs not picked up by this time will be boarded overnight at the regular boarding fee.

RESERVATIONS:    Reservations are not required at this time.  Your dog is welcome to attend any day that works with your schedule!

What is Doggie Daycare? Daycare is off-leash group play for well-socialized, non-aggressive dogs who like to play with other like-minded dogs.  But it's more than that at Honey Creek!  Our supervised groups enjoy playing games with our staff, nap & rest periods, and also practice polite behavior.

Daycare dogs will enjoy the majority of their playtime outdoors in our 1-acre Bark Park.  The Barks & Rec Building is fully heated and air-conditioned as needed when we need to be inside.  We have lots of different dog toys, play equipment and a kiddie pool.

If you'd like to have your dog evaluated for Doggie Daycare, please complete the Daycare Agreement form and let us know what day you'd like to have your dog come.  There is a $25 non-refundable evaluation fee payable at the time of evaluation (that day's daycare included).  Your dog will go through our temperament test and from there will be introduced to other dogs.
